Annie Hu

Board Member

Annie is an articling student at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto. Annie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2023 and obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Music and Criminology from the University of Toronto in 2019. Annie’s involvement with music, specifically piano and violin, started at the age of 4 and led to several rewarding years with different orchestras and a lifelong commitment to the arts. Prior to university, Annie taught piano and violin to children. In 2016, Annie played oboe with the Denis Wick Canadian Wind Orchestra.

Annie’s love for music is matched by her enthusiasm for content creation. She has helped strategize and managed various social media platforms for California and New York law firms. Annie is also experienced in leading fundraiser initiatives and securing sponsorships for arts and equity-seeking organizations. 

Annie is a dedicated advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. She is deeply committed to mentoring aspiring and current law students, especially those with a background in the arts. Annie has been active as the Student Director of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. 

As a board member serving on the Fundraising and Marketing Committees, Annie is prepared to draw on her passion for music and content creation to enhance the mission of Orchestra Toronto.
