Taya Rosenberg

Board Member of Orchestra Toronto

Taya Rosenberg holds a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. She majored in modern and baroque flute; she has studied with Dianne Aitken (RCM), Camille Watts (TSO), and Alison Melville (Toronto Consort). During her studies, Taya had a particular interest in choral and orchestral conducting and participated in numerous masterclasses in Europe and North America. An avid chorister, Taya has been a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge.

Taya was a high school teacher for two years at an independent school in Toronto before beginning her legal career. In 2020, Taya graduated from the University of Cambridge, where she completed her Bachelor of Law degree. She has recently completed a master’s degree in Law at the University of Toronto and will be articling at Rogers Partners in downtown Toronto next summer.

Taya is excited to join the Board and continue to be a part of Toronto’s vibrant arts community. Orchestra Toronto holds a special place in her heart as she took part in the Conducting Apprenticeship program. She looks forward to the upcoming season and supporting the organization’s various outreach initiatives.
