Orchestra Toronto Announces 2024-2025 Season of Dramatic Resonance

Musical selection represents an extraordinary journey through unparalleled theatrical enchantment

Orchestra Toronto is thrilled to announce its 2024-2025 season, a celebration of passion, emotion and the sheer power of music to stir the soul. The sensory spectacle will be filled with dramatic flair and supernatural allure that will leave the audience breathless. Each performance of this season serves as a testament to the profound ability of music to unlock the depths of our emotions, transporting us to unimaginable heights of artistic expression.

“After a very successful and well-received season 2023-2024, we are excited to take our audience on this incredible journey of emotion and enchantment in five captivating performances over the course of our 2024-2025 Season of Dramatic Resonance,” said Michael Newnham, Music Director of Orchestra Toronto. “From the sounds of romantic passion and breath-taking opera to the music of heroes, the supernatural and family traditions, our season promises to leave a lasting imprint on your heart and spirit.”

By popular demand, for the 2024-2025 season, the Orchestra is adding another evening performance, bringing the total to three evening performances – for its first, fourth and final concerts. Orchestra Toronto performers invite you to join them for an unforgettable journey, which will include:

Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 8:00pm – Resilience In Harmony, feat. Beethoven’s great Violin Concerto with violin soloist Julia Mirzoev

Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 3:00pm – Timeless Traditions feat. holiday favourites for the whole family, including narration by acclaimed Canadian actor R.H. Thomson

Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 3:00pm – Virtuosic Journeys, feat. Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto #3 with Canadian pianist, David Jalbert, as well as Sibelius Symphony #5

Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 8:00pm – Theatrical Operatic Fusion, feat. opera favourites, including Wagner’s Die Meistersinger Overture and Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco

Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 8:00pm – Obsessions Unraveled, feat. Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique with bassist Joel Quarrington
