Orchestra Toronto Announces 2023-2024 Season of Passion & Triumph
Musical selection will take the audience on a journey through the many ways in which music connects us all
Toronto, Ontario – June 21, 2023 – Orchestra Toronto is thrilled to announce its 2023-2024 season, wherein every concert will be a celebration of strength, growth and coming together as Musical Director, Michael Newnham, along with the full orchestra, explore the beauty and power of nature and diversity. As diverse as the city it serves, the musical selection for Orchestra Toronto’s 2023-2024 season will also represent the many cultures and traditions that make up our world.
“This is a season of passion and fire. We will feature music from many traditions and genres, as we celebrate the many ways in which the orchestra can connect us all,” said Michael Newnham, Music Director of Orchestra Toronto. “Whether you are a longtime fan of classical music or a newcomer to it, our next season is sure to be unforgettable, filled with energy and emotion.”
For the 2023-2024 season, the Orchestra will also be introducing two evening performances on Saturday nights for its first and final concerts. Orchestra Toronto performers invite you to join them for their full season of concerts, which are:
Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 8:00pm – Strength Through our Ancestors, with special guest Mark Fewer
Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3:00pm – A Winter Festival, feat. Canadian Children’s Opera Company
Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 3:00pm – Symphony of the Sea
Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3:00pm – A Brave New World, with special guest Winona Zelenka
Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 8:00pm – Forces of Nature
