COVID-19: Keeping Our Communities Safe Means Physical Distancing
We love our community. We love making music together, and we love sharing it with audiences. Keeping our community safe, sustained, and connected through music is vitally important to us. Therefore, with heavy hearts, we have cancelled the remainder of our 2019-20 Season of Inspiration:
- The finals of the 2020 Concerto Competition have been postponed until September 2020 (exact date TBA).
- Our April 19 performance, Sueños Ibéricos, has been cancelled.
- Our May 31 performance, Sketches of Our Ancestors, has been cancelled.
- All rehearsals have been cancelled until September 2020.
We will be reaching out to our subscribers and ticket-holders in the coming days to discuss refunds for any tickets purchased for our April and May performances.
We value our musicians, and we are very proud to be honouring our financial commitments to all of our artistic and administrative staff and guest artists during this hiatus. If you would like to help sustain our music-making community, we would welcome your donation.
Physical Distancing Doesn’t Mean No Music!
Over the coming weeks, our musicians and staff will be showcasing projects here on our website, and on our social media channels. We’ll be hosting virtual parties, as we experience some of the fantastic musical offerings available online during this forced separation. And we’ll be working hard to put together our 2020-21 season, with five exciting brand new programmes for you.
