Orchestra Toronto, a vibrant community orchestra dedicated to musical excellence, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Board as Fundraising Chair. Our highly professional and diverse board brings together individuals from a wide range of industries, offering an exceptional opportunity to build meaningful connections with professionals across various fields. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support Orchestra Toronto's mission and objectives.
Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.
Identify new fundraising opportunities and innovative approaches to revenue generation.
Organize fundraising events and campaigns to engage our community and attract support.
Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Proven experience in fundraising, preferably for the arts or non-profit sector.
Strong network of contacts within the community in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute fundraising plans.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
Passionate about supporting the arts and promoting musical education and appreciation.
Board Meetings are held once per month and are generally 1 hour long via zoom.
