Board Position Available

Orchestra Toronto, a vibrant community orchestra dedicated to musical excellence, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Board as Fundraising Chair. Our highly professional and diverse board brings together individuals from a wide range of industries, offering an exceptional opportunity to build meaningful connections with professionals across various fields. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support Orchestra Toronto's mission and objectives.

  • Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.

  • Identify new fundraising opportunities and innovative approaches to revenue generation.

  • Organize fundraising events and campaigns to engage our community and attract support.

  • Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably for the arts or non-profit sector.

  • Strong network of contacts within the community in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute fundraising plans.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

  • Passionate about supporting the arts and promoting musical education and appreciation.

  • Board Meetings are held once per month and are generally 1 hour long via zoom.
