Board Position Available

Orchestra Toronto, a vibrant community orchestra dedicated to musical excellence, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Board of Directors as a Board Member. Our highly professional and diverse board brings together individuals from a wide range of industries, offering an exceptional opportunity to build meaningful connections with professionals across various fields. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to help shape the future of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and input to support Orchestra Toronto’s mission and objectives

  • Serve as an ambassador for Orchestra Toronto by representing the organization at events and within your networks

  • Participate in monthly virtual board meetings, actively contributing to discussions and decision-making

  • Participate in fundraising initiatives with other Board Members

  • Support Orchestra Toronto’s initiatives, such as fundraising, community outreach, marketing, concert attendance, based on your skills and interests

Qualifications

  • Strong network of contacts within the community in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinker

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven

  • Passionate about supporting the arts and promoting musical education and appreciation

  • Board Meetings are held once per month and are generally 1 hour long via zoom.
