Orchestra Toronto, a vibrant community orchestra dedicated to musical excellence, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Board of Directors as a Board Member. Our highly professional and diverse board brings together individuals from a wide range of industries, offering an exceptional opportunity to build meaningful connections with professionals across various fields. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to help shape the future of our organization.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic guidance and input to support Orchestra Toronto’s mission and objectives
Serve as an ambassador for Orchestra Toronto by representing the organization at events and within your networks
Participate in monthly virtual board meetings, actively contributing to discussions and decision-making
Participate in fundraising initiatives with other Board Members
Support Orchestra Toronto’s initiatives, such as fundraising, community outreach, marketing, concert attendance, based on your skills and interests
Qualifications
Strong network of contacts within the community in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
Passionate about supporting the arts and promoting musical education and appreciation
Board Meetings are held once per month and are generally 1 hour long via zoom.
