Orchestra Toronto is one of Canada’s oldest community orchestras. We are auditioning for a volunteer principal bassoonist.

Season: September 10, 2020—May 30, 2021

Fee – Volunteer, no fee.

Orchestra Toronto performs an orchestra subscription season of five concerts in the George Weston Recital Hall at the Meridian Arts Centre in North York, as well as occasional outreach performances in and around North York. We rehearse weekly on Thursday evenings at the Meridian Arts Centre in North York. This position is appropriate for a musician living in the Greater Toronto Area the community. Auditions will take place digitally. Videos are to be submitted by August 17, 2020.

The audition will take place virtually in two stages. Applicants will submit their audition recording and résumé by Monday, August 17. Short-listed candidates will be invited to a Zoom meeting with the audition panel during the week of August 24-30.

5. Ravel: Bolero from reh #2 to #3

6. Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade, op. 35: 2nd movement, solo plus the cadenzas
